15, March '12. - The regional deputy Fernando Lopez Miras Lorca has filed a motion to promote the creation of a national law to regulate and enhance the figure of 'business angels' (private investors in youth projects) whose activity is encouraging interesting development of business projects worldwide.
The deputy said that to enhance the figure of these angels "we must go beyond providing a favorable tax framework for effective development, remembering that is a fundamental appeal to attract these investments."
Thus, Lopez Miras has raised the possibility of introducing a system of tax incentives aimed at the main taxes that affect them directly, such as income tax and corporate tax, estate, inheritance, property transfer and stamp duty.
As explained, "we must be aware that the tax increase causes a strong reduction in the willingness to invest, and conversely, reduced taxes and increased tax allowances increase the investor's desire ' business angels. "
The deputy has also proposed that public authorities publicize the concept of this figure investment "as a good source of financing tailored to the needs of SMEs" and encourage the grouping of all the networks 'bussines angels' operating in the country. "
Miras Lopez has also raised that the government make an effort to promote business angel networks and to help strengthen and profesionaleización of organizations that develop intermediary services between entrepreneurial companies and potential investors, "so as to promote better access of SMEs to this novel mode of funding. "
The MP has defended his motion, arguing that "bet on this proposal is to bet on entrepreneurs, on the employment and growth."
The proposal has been endorsed by the Regional Assembly with the votes of PP and PSOE and IU abstaining.
