The local troops have been spreading salt and removing snow in the higher districts after activation level two Municipal Emergency Plan for snow.

Emergency Councilman of the City of Lorca, Eduardo Sanchez, has reported that the Consistory has reinforced this morning the staff assigned to work in the districts to deal with high snowfall that occurred today, being coordinated by the Emergency Base Palm Zarcilla and Comprehensive Security Center.
Sanchez explained that the municipal troops have been spreading salt and removing snow in the higher districts after activation level two of the Municipal Emergency Plan for snow, putting up two shovels and a snow plow, while cooperation has been requested to Traffic grouping Civil Guard accompanying the school bus at the Institute of La Paca and high schools in the districts of Lorca.
As you may recall, Lorca is the pioneer town of the Region Municipal Emergency Plan for snow itself, which is coordinated with the regional plan for these elements.
Tips for the population
The recommendations contained in the Protection Plan advise against travel by car by highlands or affected by the snow, especially at night and, if you do, remember the need to drive carefully and call the Emergency Telephone 1 Single -1 to 2 to any incident.
