The deputy of the Socialist parliamentary group, Manuel Soler has filed a motion to the full Regional Assembly that the Government intended Valcárcel 1% percent social cultural and 0.5% to finance measures for the reconstruction of Lorca after the earthquakes.
Soler reproached the Autonomous Region has made no effort to Lorca budget in terms of aid for the rehabilitation, reconstruction and economic recovery after the earthquake of May 11.
The deputy recalled that in the Budget for 2012 contained an item of 206,000 euros for accommodation and other € 10,000 for the historic heritage of the City of the Sun for Soler it is "totally ridiculous amounts compared to the needs that the municipality in the state where is ".
Compliance with Laws
"From the Socialist Parliamentary Group Valcárcel we demand that it comply with the law 4/1990 of 11 April on measures to promote the historical heritage in the Region of Murcia, referring to the contributions of 1% culture to be performed by different Ministries and autonomous bodies. "
It also demanded the enforcement of the law 3/2003 of April 10, in Article 37.2 of Social Services System in the Region of Murcia, and is intended for the total of items obtained to aid the rehabilitation of Lorca.
Such aid would help to rehabilitate its historical heritage and buildings for the provision of social services in this county.
For Manuel Soler, "this is an opportunity that the President Valcarcel to demonstrate its willingness to support the drama Lorca in suffering since last May 11."
Otherwise, he warned, "and where it should continue marginándonos amounts of money to bring only good words, with the sole intention of collecting votes, and then, once made, forget about Lorca."
