Jose Garcia Murcia, councilman IU spokesman Lorca-Green has proposed the establishment of a Rehabilitation Plan in the San Pedro and some seamounts of San Cristobal, to recover the habitat of an area severely damaged by earthquakes.
The council has stressed that a project to build new homes in those neighborhoods would regenerate the social and cultural life of these parts of the city, currently still have many houses in disrepair, waiting to be torn down and assuming a grave danger for pedestrians and neighbors.
IU-Green intends to use part of URBAM Plan funds for this purpose and agree with the SEPES for the 300 homes that promised to create in Lorca, 50 are intended for this Plan of Rehabilitation of neighborhoods high building 25 single-family homes in the neighborhood of San Pedro and 25 other seamounts in San Cristobal.
This could begin the reconstruction and rehabilitation of depressed areas of the city as part of a gradual and progressive improvement project of the poorest neighborhoods of the city in great need of attention.
Referring also to the reconstruction, Pedro Sosa, a councilor of the training, said that the city of Lorca is hampering the reconstruction of about 20 houses in rural areas affected by earthquakes, to be rebuilt in the same place where they were.
Thus, recalled that the municipality should be governed by common sense and facilitate these issues to these neighbors, mostly elderly, instead of putting difficulties.
In another development, training has denounced the inaction of the environmental council, Melchor Morales, accusing him of taking four years to the calendar turning 21 without specifying anything.
Sosa, said that Morales is likely to set up committees and working groups that meet only once and then forget.
IU-Green wanted to draw attention to the environmental council accusing him of not being taken any steps to mitigate air pollution in our town, the most polluted in the region, as overcoming the limits of sulfur dioxide particles can not exceed 25 days per year and Lorca in 2011 exceeded 130 days and 110 in 2010.
Given these alarming data, Sosa has accused the minister of health, the mayor and the councilors and environmental health of not caring at all about this issue which is causing serious respiratory problems.
In this respect, from training ahead of time that will have to ask the leadership of Rafael Mendez hospital detailed statistics on the number of people served by respiratory failure.
