The Joint Commission established by Royal Decree Law 6/2011 laying without urgent action to repair the damage caused by earthquakes of last May in Lorca studied today a total of 530 files of applications for housing assistance stricken, as well as commercial premises as a result of earthquakes.
In such cases, the Joint Commission gave its approval to 151 applications for compensation (1,129,184 euros) and 2 for reconstruction (105,967 euros), totaling more aid worth 1.2 million euros.
In addition, 18 grants have been approved for trade (99,689 euros).
The remainder, a total of 359, the files are denied.
The Commission, which was formed last May 25 in Lorca, has the task of assessing and quantifying the aid granted to individuals by virtue of applications, lease, reconstruction, rehabilitation or repair of houses which constitute the habitual residence and and for the replenishment of household necessities.

The files examined in the eight sessions resolute housing records of the Joint Commission a total of 9,184, accounting for aid totaling EUR 30,657,694, broken down as follows:
Total housing assistance granted: 4,604
- Grants for home repairs: 3,723 (23,693,214 euros).
- Aid for reconstruction of houses: 12 (825,594 euros)
- Grants for rental housing: 869 (6,138,885 euros).
Total aid for trade: 41 (222,333 euros)
Total records denied: 4,539
One Office of integral
Members of the Joint Committee also visited the Single Desk comprehensive advice for the reconstruction of houses affected by the earthquakes created through an agreement between the region and the municipality of Lorca, to take information and advice all aspects that may affect residents in the reconstruction of their homes.
The Single Desk is located in the City of Lorca units and personnel integration belongs to the three public administrations in charge of rebuilding the city.
The technical team, composed by technicians, administrators and lawyers, among others, whose main mission is to accompany the victims in all transactions from the moment you decide to rebuild your home until the end of the process.
On the other hand, will report on cadastral procedures, notary and property registry, and provide guidance in the management of communities of owners.
In addition, this office will be supported by a telephone information service of the Ministry of Public Works and Planning: 968 37 70 00, which will be in constant contact with staff of the Directorate General of Land and Housing.
