The executive has included in the Murcia Regional Sports Facilities Plan actions for compensation for the sports center of Lorca Europe, closed it after the damage caused by the earthquakes of May 11, for which the Community allocated a budget of 1,040 000 euros through the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The aim is to carry out restoration work, particularly with regard to multiple sports halls, leading to the imminent reopening of those sports.
Specifically, the Community investment will go to the reclamation works of European sports center, which will be used by six schools most, because, once it reopens, the Secondary School Prince of Asturias Lorca shall be attached to it and also it can use five other secondary schools of the locality.
