On May 10, 2011, three days after the end of the fourth edition of the Festival SOS 4.8, the Murcian town of Lorca suffered one of the most damaging earthquakes in the history of Spain, with a total of eight deaths and extensive damage buildings and infrastructure of the city.
From the time of the event, the Festival made every effort and work to promote an event that would spread what happened in Lorca, organizing the June 30 benefit concert in Murcia called "SOS 4.8 Lorca" attended by more than 2,000 people, which raised approximately 35,000. - € for the Bureau for Development of Lorca, which again demonstrated the solidarity of the musicians and technical staff in this type of adversity, and everyone performed his work for free and disinterested.
In this 2012 edition of SOS 4.8, which just recently completed, have carried out a series of actions to support those affected by the earthquake, which have had a major impact and effect between those attending the festival.
Today, just a year later, another reminder SOS 4.8 which is still a need for solidarity with the people of Lorca and so we are pleased to report the completion of a new charity concert "SOS 4.8 by Lorca" to be held in Madrid on 9 June at the Teatro Circo Price, which will have a lineup full of great artists, soon we confirm.
As in the previous edition of "SOS 4.8 by Lorca" collection event will be delivered to the Bureau for Development For Lorca to give you the destination you see fit.
