The Deputy Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, along with Councilman Emergency, Eduardo Sanchez, have reported that the Antiaircraft Artillery Regiment 73 of Cartagena with Army units and the Emergency Military Unit in collaboration with the Municipal, have organized a conference to be civil-military to develop in Lorca during the 25th and May 26th.
The rapid and decisive intervention of the Antiaircraft Artillery Regiment 73 of Cartagena, along with other units of the ET and the EMU in response to the severe damage in the town of Lorca as a result of the earthquake registered on May 11, 2011, and the extension of this support for some weeks, has helped to increase the affection between the people of Lorca and our Armed Forces.
As a result of subsequent contacts maintained between members of the Municipal Corporation of Lorca and Antiaircraft Artillery Regiment 73 of Cartagena, the initiative to stage this mutual feeling by holding an act of Jura (or promise) to the Flag, with the banner of this Regiment next Saturday, May 26 at 11:00 am in the Plaza of Spain in the city of Lorca.
For the ceremony, organized a military unit on the basis of Antiaircraft Artillery Regiment 73, which include the participation of staff and resources from other Army units and the Emergency Military Unit that stood out for his role in supporting the victims suffered earthquakes in Lorca, as were the Legion Brigade, Parachute Brigade and the Brigade of Health.
This unit will consist of bracket Shakers, Banner, Banda de Guerra, Unit Military Music, Scripts, and Honor Society.
All citizens who wish to provide Lorca Oath or renew with the flag of Spain, may contact the City where they must submit their request filled not later than 21 May, provided they meet the requirements of:
Have Spanish nationality.
Be 18 years of age at the time of the oath or affirmation.
Not have been declared incompetent by a court judgment.
