Mayors of Lorca and La Union, Francisco Francisco Jodar and Barnabas respectively, presented this morning the "II Gala Lorca Flamenco Solidarity", which will develop in our city on 26 May, organized by the municipalities of Lorca and The Union and the International Festival del Cante de las Minas.
It is recalled that on 26 June 2011 was held the first edition of the gala at the Old Public Market of the Union.
It was an initiative of the International Festival del Cante de las Minas with Lorca who wanted support in difficult times, and send us your unwavering support through flamenco.
Participating artists at that time the height of Miguel Poveda, Diego El Cigala, Carmen Linares Pitingo or who want their voices to support Lorca through this exciting evening.
This year's Gala takes over the previous year's event, with the collaboration of both consistories and the Festival del Cante de las Minas, and will feature a lineup of real luxury.
And is that the boards of Santa Quiteria Fairgrounds will host the 4 winners of last year's Festival del Cante de las Minas:
The singer Celia Romero, winner of the Mining Lamp.
Guitarist Juan Torres "Habichuela Nieto", winner of Bordon Minero.
The dancer Lucía Álvarez "The Piñona" winning Desplante.
And the pianist Sergio Monroy, who won the best instrumentalist The Philo flamenco.
For the quality of the participants, it is a unique show where the best Flamenco remind Lorca and participate in rebuilding the city.
The gala will be held on Saturday May 26 at 22 hours.
Cost Tickets are $ 10 and can be purchased at the theater box office and in the very war Fairgrounds before the start.
The benefits of the gala will go, as happens with all the cultural program of the municipality, the reconstruction of cultural heritage damaged by earthquakes.
