Today, on World No Snuff, the Department of Health changes cigars for tins to remember that "not smoking can save about 1,460 euros a year."
The Councillor for Health of the City of Lorca, Antonia Lopez, has reported that on the occasion of World No Snuff, the Consistory Lorca started the campaign "snuff not only harms your health ... Think you could do all year is ... "to appeal to financial savings as well quit.
Lopez explained that the focus of this initiative is the installation of a table of distribution of information (brochures and guides) on smoking in the columns of the Constitution Mall this morning.
Additionally, this same point, 300 tins will be distributed to those who submit a cigarette instead.
In the bank is also information disseminated through posters that "The snuff not only harms your health ... Think what you could do next year ... 1 pack x 365 days 4.50 euros 1460 euros" .
The information table will be installed between 10.00 and 13.00 today.
"In these times of crisis reducing the monthly cost can be another very good reason to quit, because any argument is good to save some lives," added the councilor.
The mayor has highlighted the benefits to health, has not breathe air polluted by the smoke of snuff, and has reported the harmful effects of consumption of snuff for smokers and nonsmokers.
In this sense, the campaign aims to raise awareness of smokers of the importance of respecting smoke-free areas, promote smoke-free spaces, inform smokers that quitting is possible, help reduce smoking prevalence in the Region Murcia and prevent the use of snuff among young people.
