The Joint Commission, established by Royal Decree Law 6/2011 laying without urgent action to repair the damage caused by the earthquakes of May 2011 in Lorca, considered today a total of 324 cases of requests for assistance stricken homes and business premises that have been damaged as a result of earthquakes.
In such cases, the Joint Commission gave its approval to 97 requests for repair (738,697 euros), 33 for rent (210,377 euros) and 13 for reconstruction (1,031,000 euros), amounting aid totaling 1,980,074 million euros.
In addition, they have approved 36 grants for trade (182,356.31 euros).
The remainder, a total of 145, records are denied.
The Commission, which was incorporated on May 25 last year in Lorca, has the task of assessing and quantifying the aid granted to individuals by virtue of applications, lease, reconstruction, rehabilitation or repair of houses which constitute the habitual residence and for the replacement of household necessities.

Total housing assistance granted: 4,902
- Aid for home repair: 3924 (25,154,269 euros).
- Aid for reconstruction of houses: 26 (1,963,017 euros)
- Grants for rental housing: 952 (6,713,670 euros).
Total aid for trade: 105 (EUR 336,765.22)
Total records denied: 4,563
