The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, announced this morning that the momentum with which they are developing the rehabilitation work by the local municipal councils in serving as host for the Parkinson Association Lorca, will allow this place to return to serve in the coming days.
It is recalled that since 2002 Parkinson Association of Lorca is conducting a fundamental task for those with this disease, and that the City Council in April 2011, managed to make available to the local entity a unique, fully air conditioned and new to to carry out these activities.

The mayor explained that, tragically, just weeks after its entry into operation, earthquakes destroyed the premises, causing serious damage to the building that houses it and making the services had to travel to the San Jose Local Social, where they are kept at present.
After the earthquake took out the rehabilitation of the building which included the settlement of various pillars and the outer wall by the Owners of the property.
When finished they proceeded to repair the premises.
It is anticipated that these works be completed several weeks of rehabilitation, that the City is taking place through the Special Employment Plan.
So far have done the following work:
Fissures and cracks in the walls of distribution have been repaired with glass mat and gypsum plaster.
Fixed the ceiling and is set in its entirety.
Damage have been rectified in the tiling of toilets and baseboards.
The whole place has become to be painted.
In this reform have worked 12 people who, thanks to the Special Employment Plan, were taken out of unemployment.
Particular have been an operator of the first and one second, a masonry laborer, 2 plumbers, 3 painters, 2 carpenters and 2 locksmiths.
The investment rush was nearly 9,300 euros.
Thanks to this important rehabilitation will reopen the doors of a facility that caters directly to almost thirty patients and 200 members of the Association.
The Center of Attention to People with Parkinson has offices for social worker and psychologist, provide therapy room, toilets and gym.
Parkinson Association held in these facilities workshops memory, cognitive stimulation, physical therapy, occupational therapy, family support groups, social, psychological and administrative.
