The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, received this morning the writer Antonio Porlán Lorca, who has handed over the proceeds from the sale of his novel "Blood Memory".
Sandra Martinez has indicated that it is an activity that comes at the initiative of the Social Club Cajamurcia, in response to concern about the victims of the earthquake last year.
In this regard have conducted joint publication of a novel set in sixteenth Lorca, in which the author, a fellow of the Fund, mixed real people and fictional characters of the time, and in which the city itself takes a leading role as the setting for much of the plot.
With the help of the Municipal Archives of Lorca and especially its chief for many years, Don Juan García Guirao (Academician of the Royal Academy Alfonso X El Sabio), has been a good opportunity to have a flavor of what it was the city, the everyday moment and other interesting details.
Note that all costs of publishing have been donated by the Employees Social Club Cajamurcia, and collection by full, amounting to € 6,267, were donated to the Bureau of Solidarity.
The presentation of the collection has attended the author of the novel, Antonio Porlán and Paul Fermin Hernandez (President of the Employees Social Club Cajamurcia) and Pilar Garcia de Cossio, (Regional Director Cajamurcia).
