The President of Rotary Club Valencia "Rey Don Jaime" Elijah Horness has delivered this morning to Councilman Management and Recovery after the earthquakes of the City of Lorca, Saturnina Martinez, the donation of € 5,452.75 which this entity delivered to the Mesa Partnership for those affected by earthquakes in Lorca.
Horness explained that "this contribution is the result of the receipts from the Solidarity II Golf Tournament held on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 at the premises of Real Club de Golf Manises, raffles, food and charitable contributions to row 0".
Under the Individual Stableford and morning and afternoon sessions, 130 players participated in the charity trophy, whose collection includes the RCG was donated by the Rotary Club Valencia Manises and intended for the Mesa Partnership for those affected by earthquakes in Lorca.
Coinciding with the trophy, the Rotary Club Valencia held a dinner at the Restaurant of the Real Club de Golf Manises attended several Rotary clubs and in which the Club President, Don Jose Manuel Jimenez agreed to institutionalize the trophy going to sign beneficial in the book of honor of the Club President, Assistant Governor of District 2203 and Fernando Giner, president of the Alumni Association Footballers of Valencia and Valencia CF Advisor
All participants received gifts from the sponsors of the trophy and were invited to the cocktail of the awards ceremony, where President of the Rotary Club Valencia D.
Elijah Horness Club thanked the Chairman of the special collaboration of Manises RCG and its staff in developing the event.
During the tournament we observed a minute's silence for the victims of the earthquake in Lorca.
Saturnine Martinez thanked the cooperation of the Rotary Club Valencia and pointed out that thanks to contributions like this we have been able to help nearly 5,000 Lorca and it will be possible to continue to expand every week to aid the citizens most affected by earthquakes, as been doing so far from advances aid for rent, refundable grants to families who have lost their homes or are unable to access it, wounded and deceased relatives, besides the plan to boost trade, among other initiatives.
The City of Lorca keeps open the account with Banco Santander 50 17 912 117 626 269 0049 to receive donations and to thereby cover a multitude of needs that continue to Lorca by the earthquake of May 11 because "Lorca continues to need much help."
