Councilman Sports City of Lorca, Augustine Flames, has reported that the School-Based Physical Education organized by the City and included within the area, "Youth and Sport", was closed on Thursday afternoon, thus terminating classes of this course.
The school has developed on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the multipurpose room of the Pavilion of San Jose and attended a total of 22 pupils aged between 3 and 5 years.
Llamas pointed out that the aim of this school is to develop predeportiva gross motor skills (throwing, jumping, hitting, displacements, rotations, etc..), Coordination, balance and psychomotor skills (spatial perception, time perception, attitude, posture, etc.. ) so as to lay the groundwork for a subsequent initiation sports, and all moves through forms and playful.
Thus from the Sports Department aims on the one hand, that from an early stage children develop a wide range of resources and motor skills that allow a future deal with the sports they want with the best guarantees of success, and secondly, to create healthy lifestyles through physical activity and sport.
School-Based Physical Education will resume on October 1.
