The president of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, today thanked the European Investment Bank (EIB) "commitment and sensitivity to Lorca, while the confidence shown by the Region of Murcia and its future."
"A future that happens, inevitably, for the recovery of the town of Lorca, its economy and its vitality as head of a vast region," he said Valcárcel.
The chief executive was speaking Murcia during the act of signing a loan of 185 million euros for reconstruction and rehabilitation of buildings and infrastructure affected by earthquakes in Lorca May 11, 2011, signed between the Community of Murcia and the European Investment Bank, represented by its vice president heading, Magdalena Álvarez.
