Councilman Internal Affairs of the City of Lorca, Jose Joaquin Peñarrubia, explained that "this summer 29 students from 10 Spanish universities are doing placements at various municipal facilities, so they can gain experience to improve its employability ".

Peñarrubia stressed that "the City has responded to the requests of all students who have requested it. To do this, new agreements have been concluded with some universities with which there was still no agreement."

Students from the Universities of Murcia (12), UCAM (6), Grenada (3), Cartagena (2), Valencia (1), Alicante (1) Camilo Jose Cela (1), Miguel Hernández (1), Technical University Madrid (1) and Jaén (1) are the beneficiaries of the experience of performing tasks of their university education under the direction of a local tutor.

"The City Council intend to help the university Lorca to acquire a first experience that enriches its curriculum, both those that are forming in the region as those who have moved out of our region to open an education that will open the doors the professional world, "added Peñarrubia.

Studies that are attending these universities range from degrees in Architectural Technology and Construction Engineering (6), Business (3), Superior Architecture (3), INEF (2), Public Works Engineering (2), Administration and Business Management (1), Pharmacy (1), Political Science and Administration (1), Law (1), Journalism (1), Social Work (1), Education (1), Graduate Social (1), Economics (1), Interior Design (1), Industrial Engineering (1), to students of Masters in Management and Human Resource Management (1) and Regional and Local Finance (1).

Peñarrubia explained that "to carry out these practices the university appoints a guardian for the student and the Consistory to another, which are responsible for ensuring the proper discharge of the functions and objectives of the agreement signed by both entities and to assist students in this first work experience. "

Students are playing their first years work experience in municipal works, Treasury, Sports, Intervention, Management of Earthquakes, Urban Intervention, Office for Reconstruction Unique, Personal, Projects, Media, Health, Town Hall, Early Care and Social Services.
