Councilman Trade of the City of Lorca, Eduardo Sanchez, has reported on the participation of Lorca in a traveling exhibition organized by the Spanish Association of Cities of Ceramics.
Sanchez has stated that "since last July our city is part of this prestigious group from which promotes traditional pottery."
The mayor said that "this exhibition will be inaugurated on August 31 in the Italian town of Faenza, in the framework of the International Ceramics Fair Argilla. This is the most important fair of this nature across the country trans, by so the impact of the sample is more than guaranteed. "
"The exhibition will travel after the fair to La Rambla, Cordoba, in the course of the Second Congress of the AECC, 28 and 29 September. After this experience the exhibition will continue touring national and international cities for at least 3 or 4 years, "Sanchez stressed.
"This is an exceptional opportunity to promote local pottery, and demonstrates the commitment of Lorca in the Spanish Association of Cities of Ceramics since our entry into this body as the guest city."
Sanchez said that "Lorca representation at this event will consist of exposure of different parts produced in Lorca potters workshops involving a good summary of the best virtues of ceramic Lorca. Elements such as traditional trays or bowls typically drawn form the local representation besides the presence of informative panels in summarizing the history of Lorca, its main features, the characteristic features of our craftsmanship and our pottery, craft workshops explanation ... is, in short, a new way to show to know the excellence of craftsmanship Lorca and those traits that make it unique worldwide. "
