The Governing Council has given its approval to the hiring of the project works pumping and discharge of wastewater sanitation manifold Biznaga the boardwalk, at Lorca, with a budget of 4.4 million euros.
The work is funded by 80 percent by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union, to run in three annual installments.
The works, which consist of a drive of 3.4 km long, will connect the wastewater collector that runs along the left bank of the ravine of the purification Biznaga Lorca.
This action closes the sanitation infrastructure of the scattered population of the Huerta de Lorca, whose collector overall pick Biznaga boardwalk flows of three main drains (Purias Collector, Collector and Collector Road Southern Eagles Lorca ) and carry them up the pumping station through the lower stretch to propel them to the treatment plant.
This infrastructure, which will allow the connection to the network of some 130,000 inhabitants, is part of the Comprehensive Plan for cleansing and purifying of Lorca, which includes a total of 184 kilometers of the collection network and an overall budget of 92 million euros.
This comprehensive system of water collection will cover the North, Orchard and City of Lorca, and South Coast area.
