The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the Minister of Agriculture, Antonio Cerdá, presented this morning the Livestock Show, Industrial and Agri-Food, to be held at the fairgrounds in Santa Quiteria from 17 to 20 September

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the Minister of Agriculture and Water of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Antonio Cerdá, presented this morning at the Parador Nacional de Turismo "Castillo de Lorca" the 45th edition of the Livestock Show , Industrial and Agri-Food, SEPOR 2012, to be held at the fairgrounds in Santa Quiteria from 17 to 20 September.

In presenting the mayor said "at this year Sepor boost the agricultural cooperatives, bet on the sector enrichment from their perspective more professional and consolidated city of Lorca as large fairs profitable."

At 20,000 m2 spread over 5 wards will gather 150 exhibitors and 400 commercial firms pedigree breeding of pigs from several countries, farms of cattle, sheep and goats, government bodies, associations and institutions, veterinary laboratories, houses feed industries machinery and livestock equipment, meat processing, environmental management, and a long list of stakeholders in the livestock sector, from France, Belgium and Germany, from outside Europe and from all parts of Spain.

"This is a 100% occupancy of the space, which demonstrates the great success and the tremendous impact of SEPOR" stressed the mayor.

Jódar recalled that in the last edition brought 60,000 visitors SEPOR, figures which are expected to at least match thanks to the many activities planned, among which include an International Symposium Porcinocultura, lecture on cattle, sheep and goats , Conference on Environmental Management, Training workshops, seminars on nutrition, food safety and consumer information, National Competition Loncheadores ham, culinary, and International Technical Conference on Cooperatives as as a strategic, production Biotechnology swine, the Star Plan for Animal Nutrition sector and on "The Present and Future of the Livestock Sanitary Defence Associations in Spain."

Furthermore, SEPOR has redoubled its commitment to information society to connect professional networks, through the creation of a new website, a Facebook page and collaboration with chil.org.

Activities will also be some popular singers and musical performances of local and regional, as Rosa María Luján, trovos evening, Ricky Andalusian boy and his dance troupe, Manolo Ferré or wizard Peter Lucas.
