Councilman Agriculture states that the data confirm that the statements of Manuel Soler are "outdated" and should be attributed to "a slip", and urges that the next time be more careful.
Agriculture Councilman City of Lorca, Angel Mecca, recalled this morning that the Government of Spain, through the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, has approved the investment of 25.42 million euros for the implementation of the work necessary for the modernization and consolidation of irrigation in Tercia.
Mecca has explained that it is a worthwhile investment lorquina agriculture, and especially for irrigators in our town, the result of a collaboration agreement between the said Ministry and the State Society of Agricultural Infrastructure (SEIASA) which was ratified by the Council of Ministers held last November 30, 2012.
In fact in the near future will proceed to sign the corresponding agreement between the Community Irrigation and SEIASA for bids.
Angel Mecca has indicated that, given these facts, the statements made this morning Manuel Soler be attributed to a "lapse or failure of communication by Mr. Soler. Anyway we encourage you next time be more attentive to Currently on this matter to avoid mistakes as obvious as today ".
We also indicate that it is not true that the funding for this project was closed since 2011, as stated by Mr. Soler, as it was not until last November 30, 2012 when the Government of Spain certified its commitment to regard.
Remember that since the 2nd of January, the Ministry of Agriculture issued a press release informing of this investment for the modernization of irrigation of Lorca, a text that should go unnoticed for Mr. Soler, and that, besides being sent date in all the media, can be consulted by all citizens through the following link (the text attached to this letter):
