The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, received this afternoon at the International Tourism Fair of Madrid (FITUR) and from the president of the multinational media group tour Excellencies, Jose Carlos de Santiago, the Excellence Award 2012 for the initiatives promoted by the municipality to promote tourism after the earthquake of 2011, as is the path "Lorca, Open for restoration", an initiative launched paradar to experience heritage who is recovering in Sun City

Jódar is confident that in the coming months will further increase the presence of visitors in Lorca by the recent completion of the rehabilitation works of the castle, porch of San Antonio, San Mateo Church, Embroidery Museum and Church White Pass San Francisco, and the forthcoming completion of construction of the wall, Guevara Palace and Convent Virgen de las Huertas, along with the rest of the recovery actions of Collegiate San Patricio, War Theater, Archeological Museum and Churches San Cristóbal, Carmen, Santiago and San Diego.
