The development works in the district of San Pedro de Lorca have been completed, according to information provided by the Joint Monitoring Committee of the cooperation agreement signed between the Institute for Housing and Land (IVS) and the local council, held today, chaired by the managing director of the IVS, Christopher Moreno, and was attended by the Councillor for Services, Angel Mecca.
According to Moreno, the works amounting to 178,300 euros, funded by the Institute for Housing and Land in the Region of Murcia, has been made in two months.
He added that the actions that the City of Lorca undertaken under the agreement signed last November "give way to the start of construction of adequacy of the IVS 19 homes in that neighborhood."
Moreno explained that the work consisted in repairing the damage caused by earthquakes last year in the networks infrastructure and urbanization in the vicinity of a group of dwellings owned by the IVS public advocacy in the area of ​​San Pedro.
Thus, improvement works and consolidation of group homes and surroundings include implementation of security measures required for the maintenance and use of housing as well as raised pavement demolition and excavation and minimum of 1.50 meters to find and repair possible pathologies.
In addition, a filling and tamping of land and streets repaired and renewed infrastructure networks and services required, among other actions.
