The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, last night praised the "unity and managing partners" of the cooperative lorquina Hoyamar at the close of the events commemorating the twentieth anniversary of the company.
The owner of Agriculture and Water was accompanied by the president of the cooperative, Sunday Flames, by the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the CEO Agrifood Cooperatives of Spain, Eduardo Bahamonde.
Cerdá cooperative congratulated for his "20 years of success" and noted that "although the beginnings were not easy, has been increasing its production and marketing by the commitment and loyalty they had with their customers."
The Minister of Agriculture highlighted the work and investments made since 1993 by the company Hoyamar, located in the provincial La Hoya Lorca and Marchena, for adaptation to environmental regulations, quality and traceability of European and national, which has allowed noted, "give a higher quality service and efficiency to consumers."
Hoyamar is dedicated primarily to the production of broccoli, lettuce, melon, watermelon and leek.
The 99 percent of its sales are exported to countries like UK, France, Germany, Poland and Czech Republic.
It employs 130 people and an annual turnover of 13 million euros.
