The May 11, 2011, the town of Lorca suffered the devastating earthquake that hit the city, destroying entire neighborhoods such as the neighborhood of San Fernando, while others were badly damaged as with the Vine neighborhood, Alfonso X, San Jose or the San Cristobal.
