A group of residents of San Fernando (Lorca), whose houses had to be demolished as a result of earthquakes, we have created the association of victims of Barrio San Fernando, to help the process of rebuilding our homes and the area in general .
Our association is open to all residents of Lorca, is working towards an alternative to the current process of rebuilding the San Fernando neighborhood, because we think that the interests of the residents require alternative management, more open to the participation of various companies and neighbors, and greater transparency in general.
By the time we joined about fifty families in the neighborhood of San Fernando, and other neighbors from other neighborhoods of the city.
In early May, some members of the association held a meeting with the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and their Councillors and Urban Earthquake, Saturnino Martinez and José Joaquín Peñarrubia, respectively, where we inform the creation of our organization and our objectives, we hope to develop in collaboration with the city and with the support of the authorities involved.
We do not intend to delay or impede the reconstruction of our houses as neighbors, we are first interested in San Fernando reborn again, but we want to build a neighborhood with many more features, more options for residents, with absolute transparency and power actual decision for homeowners.
Our main objective is to create a neighborhood of the century, that through its reorganization, plus its reconstruction feasible, sustainable housing are achieved from the economic standpoint and energy.
And that in turn endowments (green areas and roads) have role configuration and consistent with the role to be played.
