The September 28, 2012 there were devastating floods in our region, mainly affecting the Guadalentin Valley area, being the most affected municipalities Lorca, Puerto Lumbreras and Totana.
Soler recalled that "if serious damage was undoubtedly the greatest losses were human lives that claimed the storm".
