Twenty families Lorca could be forced to enroll their children in a school other than that requested in the first option.
The reason: the Commission on Education of the Ministry of Education of Murcia intended not open for the next school year one of the two lines of early childhood education in its possession the Public School Andrés García Soler.
Last year, the line was suppressed by lack of space in the center.
However, nearing completion of expansion works, next September Soler Garcia will have a new supply of classrooms that could be empty if education continues to his guns to not allow these children studying in this school.
In that case, the affected school would be forced to enroll in other schools, some of them in schools that chose it as fourth option.
The García Soler has received 52 applications for enrollment for the 2013-14 year and has the necessary infrastructure to school attendance of these children through two lines.
But if counseling does not implement one of them, 27 students will be out of place in this school.
Meanwhile Schooling Commission, under the Ministry aims to provide a new line (the suppressed last year for lack of applications) to school Alfonso X would happen three counting again.
However, applications for enrollment in the center barely exceed those of the other four school (56).
The ratio of students is being in practice for 25 children per class, but is usually even higher.
Therefore, concerned parents are "incomprehensible" that 52 enrollment applications will not open the second line in the García Soler.
It does not seem very logical to grant a new line to Alfonso X with only 56 enrollment applications.
If the Ministry of Education to increase to a second line the García Soler, just four children would have to study in a school other than that requested in the first option.
But if the administration insists its plans will be affected almost thirty families.
The controversy seems to respond to the decision of the Commission on School last year, when he decided to delete a line in school Alfonso X in favor of Ana Caicedo.
To "compensate" the first, the representative of the commission in Lorca, Inspector Joseph Escudero, would have recommended this year that line back to Alfonso X at the expense of the school Andrés García Soler.
Counseling also has a Municipal School Board report favorably to the defendant by Escudero.
However, sources said council consulted hereby assure that the agency has not met to discuss this issue.
Since AMPA also added that the report was made before the deadline given by the Ministry and not knowing that there were applications.
Parents concerned which have the support of teachers of García Soler, do not dismiss demonstrations to solve this problem that affects the education of their children.
