The regional government has given the green light to the signing of an agreement between the Community, through the Departments of Universities, Business and Research and Education, Training and Employment, the city of Lorca, Murcia University, Polytechnic University Cartagena, the Regional Confederation of Employers of Lorca (Ceclor) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lorca in order to further advance the development of the Campus of Lorca.
The agreement provides that the Ministry of Universities and Research Company allocated a budget to help finance the degrees offered by universities in the region, as well as for the general operation and maintenance of the campus.
Also, the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment will continue to fund the Integrated Training Center and providing it with the necessary human and material resources to carry out their activity.
For its part, the council will take care Lorca operation and maintenance of the campus, the university official qualifications taught undergraduate and graduate attending social demand and considering infrastructure and teaching capacity.
Ceclor and the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca facilitate practical work by students of the different degrees, contribute to campaigns and disseminate information and promote campus agreements with companies to improve the conditions of the university community Lorca.
A Social Participation Committee, which will include representatives of all parties, will be responsible for coordinating the operation of the campus, propose initiatives and evaluate their resources and needs.
Lorca Campus currently offers university courses related to the field of Health Sciences, specifically the Nursing Degree and Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, which imparts the UMU and Masters in Social Economics offers UPCT and several cycles of Health Training that promotes the Education, Training and Employment.
