On the campus of Lorca, with the mayor of the town, Francisco Jodar and vowel advisor to the Department of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage and Archives and Libraries of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, Mary Victoria Sanchez , has opened the V World Heritage Youth Forum, after developing the first phase of the meeting in Alcalá de Henares.
During this first day in Lorca, the 32 participants of this year's Forum, aged between 12 and 15 years, participated in two workshops of communication assets and activities have been developed on the relationship between World Heritage and Intangible Heritage.
In this context it has been held a round table on the Recovery Plan for the Cultural Heritage of Lorca, which have involved the Councillor for Culture, Celebration and Promotion of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, the restorer of Conservation section Preventive Cultural Heritage Institute of Spain, Concha Surgeon, and the department head of Heritage of the Directorate General of Cultural Assets of the Region of Murcia, Miguel St. Nicholas.
With a guided tour of the landmarks in restoration in the town of Murcia has concluded the first day of this international meeting, which brings together students from 9 countries and 12 regions, plus Ceuta and Melilla.
