The Minister of Universities, Business and Research, José Ballesta, signed today with the secretary general of the SME Industry and the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, Luis Valero, the 'Protocol for Action on Reindustrialisation in the region of Lorca 'securing the cooperation of the regional government of Spain for the implementation and financing of measures for the revival of the industry in the area.
This document renews signed on May 11, 2012 between the President of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, and the Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism Jose Manuel Soria, to establish a line of targeted financial support to the industry, aimed at recovery of production and business Lorca.

This line of incentives is aimed at the creation, expansion or relocation of industrial establishments.
For this, 10.6 million euros allocated in repayable loans to 10 years, with a grace period of three years.
The projects that have this support will have 18 months to carry out bankable investments.

Aids 2012
In 2012, the call for aid to the re-industrialization of the region of Lorca, there were 164 industrial initiatives which, following a competitive tendering process, we selected 31 with an associated investment of 13.6 million euros.
Business projects are framed in very different productive sectors, developing agribusiness initiatives both as others belonging to the tanning sector, closely linked to the town of Lorca, and other sectors such as plastics.
