The Ministry of Public Works and Planning held a meeting this week with representatives of the City of Lorca to advise in the rules on the reconstruction of the buildings affected by earthquakes.
Through the Office of Earthquake in the city, usually this service is provided advisory but in specific cases, requires a more detailed study provided by the Directorate General of Land and Housing.
This was stated by the Director General of Planning and Housing, Yolanda Muñoz, after meeting with the Councillor for Management and Earthquake Recovery, Saturnino Martinez, who discussed various issues affecting communities of owners who are starting the reconstruction of the affected buildings by the earthquake of 2011.
"We found some processes that need to justify the works conveniently be performed. Therefore it is desirable to have this kind of meeting to resolve and clarify any technical issues affecting the administrative process of reconstruction, so that can be transmitted in person in the Office of Lorca, "explained the director.
Direct assistance to the communities of owners
Yolanda Munoz recalled that the State legislation enacted in the royal decrees published the effect is mandatory for the victims and the other administrations, both the local and the regional.
Also, the director recalled that in addition to the processing of aid itself conducts the Joint Commission, the department regularly held direct meetings with representatives of the communities of owners and companies that have been awarded the contract.
Muñoz said that "from the Ministry we have served more than 40 communities Lorca owners representing about 700 homes."
