Repairing the RM C-14 is part of the restitution plan regional roads affected by the earthquake, which has a regional investment of 47.5 million euros
The Director of Roads, José Guijarro, announced today that the Department of Public Works and Planning will begin in the coming weeks and works, and awarded by his department, RM regional road C-14, which connects the RM-11 with the hamlet Zarcilla lorquina.
Gravel was speaking during a visit to Lorca, which was accompanied by the students of the course 'The fields of Civil Engineering' at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, which have known the main actions being carried out by the Ministry for the recovery of roads affected by the earthquake.
"This road is vital for Lorca because it gives access to the municipality but also because it has a significant heavy vehicle traffic due to the marble quarries in the vicinity there," said Jose Guijarro.
This project covers a total of 12 kilometers, with an investment of EUR 646 540, and its execution time is four months.
The road works Zarcilla consist tapers heals, regularization of the firm, renovation of the surface layer and the lining of ditches.
Restoration Plan of autonomic pathways in Lorca
Road Works RM C-14 is part of the Plan of the Ministry of Public Works and Planning which aims to restore the roads affected by the earthquakes that occurred in Lorca on May 11, 2011.
In addition to the reconstruction of pavements, in some cases the works include the construction of new roads, bridges, roundabouts and sidewalks, and drainage engineering works
This Plan, which began last year and completed in 2016, contemplates a total of 138 kilometers and, overall, is a regional investment of 47.5 million euros.
From the works defined in the scheme, the Ministry of Public Works and Planning and has completed the repair of the roads RM D-7 (Lorca-The Alporchones), RM D-9 (Campico Lopez-RM 332) RM D-10 (Lorca-The Beacon) and RM 701 (Lorca-The Parish).
Currently under implementation are the works of regional roads RM C-22 (Baths of Fuensanta-Los Velez), who this week were visited by the Minister Sevilla, and the RM D-12 (Lorca-Alcanara ).
Besides the works announced today by the Director of Highways on MRI C-14 (RM 711 - Zarcilla) are already awarded and about to start work on the D-11 (Camino Viejo del Puerto) and the RM 621 (Lorca-Puri).
The Highways Agency is also working in the bidding for the construction of the C-9 (Lorca-Totana Zarzadilla), D-16 (Puerto Lumbreras-Station), D-26 (Station-RM 620) and RM 11 (Lorca-Eagles).
