The contest will be held Friday September 13 and will award the top ten paintings in up to eight hours with a total of 7,200 euros.
The aim of the Department of Culture and the commercial area is Loch exceed the number of participants to boost cultural and commercial life of the historical center of the city.
The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, president of the Commercial Log, Manuel Sanchez, presented this morning the second annual National Painting outdoors 'Old Town of Lorca', to be held on Friday September 13 and increases prize 2,600 euros with respect to its first edition.
Martinez explained that "in order to overcome the number of participants last year, rising from fifty to further boost cultural and commercial life of the historical center of the city, this year will distribute 7,200 euros in ten awards. Specifically , first prize, funded by the City, will be 2,000 euros, the second award, sponsored by the CAM Social Work, will be 1,500 euros, while the third will be 1,000 euros, thanks to the contribution of the Community of Irrigation Lorca and, finally, will be circulated six second prizes of 400 euros each Lorcauto collaboration with Montoya 1903, Bar Lorca, Rafael Tables, White and Blue, and Sliding Commercial Area and another 300 € Productions by Antares ".
This contest is open to all artists who wish may attend each with a single work and always when registering between 9:00 pm and 11:00 pm in the Plaza of Spain the day of the contest.
There shall be sealed and numbered the support that may be canvas or paper board completely white of any size for subsequent paint any painting techniques.
The topic to be developed will be the historic center of the City of Lorca, monuments, parks, landscapes or interiors anywhere in the area bounded by the organization.
Each of the contestants will be provided with all the material for his work, and a caballee to deliver it once between 16:00 and 17:00 hours on Loch Street can be exposed, still ruling Jury at 20:00.
The winning works will become the property of the entities that grant awards, who also reserve the copyright, while not awarded may continue exposed for sale.
The jury will be chaired by the Councillor for Culture, Sandra Martinez, and consist of a representative of the Commercial Log, the Director of the School of Visual Arts in Lorca, artists and art world professionals.
