"History and archeology of Sepharad: Jewish presence in Lorca and his border" is the title of the course of International University Mar-Campus Mare Nostrum to be held at the Cultural Center of the priest Emilio Navarro street in Lorca, among on 10 and 13 September.
The course aims to raise awareness of key recent developments in historical and archaeological knowledge of the presence of Jews in Lorca and Castilian-Nazari border.
In recent years, archaeological excavations carried out in the castle of Lorca have unearthed the spectacular remains of late medieval Jewry Lorca, among which his synagogue although the findings have been widely covered by the media, citizenship has not been able to determine in detail the important remains recovered materials, or place them in a historical context that allows them to understand and value.
This course's main objective is to disseminate and transmit knowledge about the main financial asset Lorca city and one of its main resources for the future.

Eiroa Rodríguez, Professor of Medieval History at the University of Murcia and Scientific Director of archaeological excavations in the Lorca Castle and Andrés Martínez Rodríguez, Director of the Archaeological Museum of Lorca.
The activity has a duration of 25 hours, students will be entitled to 2.5 free credits.
