The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar has expressed appreciation for the work the city has developed since his appointment and until today the Commissioner of the Government of Spain for the reconstruction of the city after the earthquake that occurred in 2011.
The mayor has said that the work done by the Government Commissioner for the Reconstruction of Lorca "has served its purpose."
That is why the City Council of Lorca appreciate your work and consider their contribution was decisive for that, today, the reconstruction of Lorca is advanced and we have a development plan that allows us to face the future with hope and excitement, the Lorca + Plan.
Its main purpose was to make Lorca + Plan and seek funding for their implementation, a task that has been successful.

The Recovery Plan for Cultural Heritage, which includes performances by 75 unique buildings in Lorca, has continued over the past year and a half.

93 percent of cases resolved.

More than 433 million in the execution of other actions
Besides aid from the Joint Commission and the derivatives of the restoration of the heritage of Lorca, have articulated other subsidies contained in Royal Decree-law 6/2011 and 17/2011 and the Agreement of the Council of Ministers of 28 October 2011, as well as other measures not covered by these rules.
The amount of these other actions executed amounts to 569 370 000.
Of this number, 450 640 000 correspond to the compensation of the Insurance Compensation Consortium.
Rebuild status
Similarly, with regard to the state of reconstruction, in September 2013 has increased significantly the number of licenses granted, but especially has increased the number of licenses for major works for the reconstruction of houses (1,048) and the number of homes whose reconstruction has begun.
Even they have handed over the keys of 64 houses rebuilt.
The number of building permits minor home repair (5041) has almost tripled since March 2012.
