The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar has been awarded the Police Merit Cross with White Distinction by the Ministry of Interior for the work as mayor in the management of natural disasters that have hit the city during the last years ( earthquake of May 11, 2011 and floods of September 28, 2012).
The above distinction, referenced in the order of September 20 of this year of the said Ministry, has already been signed by the Interior Minister Jorge Fernandez Diaz.
The proposal was approved by the Governing Board of the General Directorate of Police in its meeting held on September 17.
Thus Lorca Mayor joins the Police Order of Merit.
The delivery of the Police Merit Cross will be held during the official ceremony of imposition of awards to be held next Friday on October 4 at the Plaza Cardenal Belluga of Murcia from 11 in the morning.
Remember that the work carried to term by Francisco Jodar in managing these disasters has also been recognized by the local police of the city, a group that honored him with the Police Merit Cross a proposal from police unions themselves (UGT, CCOO and CSIF) and the Civil Guard, which was decorated with the Silver Cross of Merit Meritorious.
