The Ministry of Presidency Lorca begins today at the 'Workshop on the Prevention of Domestic Violence' to raise awareness and make visible the problem of domestic violence among women's organizations and inform them of the resources available.

The initiative is part of the project 'Networking with the Associations', which aims to promote collaboration between the public administration and the association, with the aim of preventing violence, improve case detection and referral promote correct specialized resources.

The working session focuses on inequality between women and men, gender-based violence (which is, types, myths, warning signs ...) and specialized resources to support women victims of violence, with special reference to device Urgent Telephone Assistance for Battered Women 1-1-2 as urgent care resource and CAVI Regional Network as a resource on call.

The training day, which held a second session on Tuesday October 29, is directed especially to women who are on the boards of the associations that make up the Federation of Women's Organizations of Lorca.

Each session will feature some 25 women, who, in turn, transmit the information women received their associations, for which it will have the support of a teaching unit designed by technical personnel of the Directorate General of Violence Prevention Gender in the Presidential.

Raise, train and detect

The project 'Networking with the Associations' is based on three cornerstones of activity: sensitize those who work, participate or collaborate in partnerships aimed primarily at women; formed on the measures and resources available to victims of violence gender, and provide clues to detect such situations.

This initiative allows, through associations, promote appropriate referral of cases to specialized resources.

Also collect information on the characteristics of each association, its purpose, target, scope and activities, so you can access them victims who receive services at the Regional Network care resources for victims of violence genre.
