The total amount of the aid approved by the Joint Commission for the reconstruction of the property exceeds one million euros
The Minister of Public Works and Planning, Antonio Sevilla, accompanied by the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, attended today the ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the reconstruction of a building located in the Callejon de los Frailes, where he congratulated for "their efforts and ability to reach consensus" to the owners of the property.
Antonio Sevilla said that most of the buildings affected by earthquakes in the city have completed the relevant paperwork for its reconstruction, "which certifies that the rebuilding process moves at a good pace and demonstrates the courage and ability to work society Lorca ".
The reconstruction reaches 32 homes in four communities of owners and is made possible by the support of the region and the State as well as the compensation received by the residents through the Insurance Compensation Consortium.
The building Friars Alley was processed as impending doom, and reconstruction aid for these homes were resolved in February and March meetings of the Joint Commission, which was created by Royal Decree-Law 6/2011 on action to repair the damage caused by earthquakes Lorca.
The amount of these grants amounted to more than a million euros, of which the neighbors have already received half as contemplated by the regulations.
The counselor noted that subsidies are paid by the state regional administration and 50 percent, respectively.
The start of the reconstruction of this building rises to 762 demolished homes in Lorca after the earthquakes of 2011 that are already under reconstruction, the total of 1,150 inhabited that were demolished as a result of the disaster.
