The artistic director Bastida Joaquin Gil and embroidery Juani Martinez Franco have conducted the presentation on Lorca embroidery and staging Passionate Bible Parades in this series that celebrates the 10th Anniversary of the Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage
The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, announced that Lorca was present prominently in the conference "The Intangible Cultural Heritage through its protagonists" which is being held in Madrid since last Tuesday.
This cycle has been organized by the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Spain.
The mayor noted that "among the actions to be declared Lorca embroidery Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, this art has been around Centennial of the ambitious cycle involving art historians, anthropologists, state officials or academics from all over the country. The conference celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage ".
Martinez stressed that "this morning, within the block of Crafts and Activities, has developed a presentation entitled" The art of embroidery from Lorca and staging Parades Passionate Bible. "Over fifty participants have known Hand Bastida Joaquin artistic director Gil and Franco Martinez Juani embroidery history, techniques, processes and embroidery distinguished work in the Easter Lorca. The councilman of Culture said that "the presence of Lorca embroidery in this nationally important cycle demonstrates the advances that are occurring in terms of the dissemination of Lorca candidacy and the support from government agencies such as the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Spain.
