Ibarra said "specifically 44 applications have been submitted but only 25 of them are for projects to be developed within the scope of the Urban Community Initiative and therefore are likely to receive a subsidy."
The mayor stressed that "have exceeded all expectations and aid money will be used to develop projects of a much larger investment."
Lali Ibarra explained that "on Wednesday afternoon met for the first time the commission valuation of these projects in order to discard those that were outside the scope and require more documentation to projects submitted incomplete applications".
This committee is chaired by Ibarra, but it also includes representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lorca, CECLOR, AJE Guadalentin, UGT and CCOO, besides the Councillor for Economy and Finance, the Director of the Urban Initiative for the Barrios Altos de Lorca, two technicians Urban Initiative for the Barrios Altos de Lorca and the Director of the Budget Office.
Among the projects presented will include the creation of a photographic studio and industrial cleaning company, relocation and expansion of a supermarket, two churrerías modernization, improving energy efficiency in three companies, and the acquisition of machinery for bakeries , pastries, fruit, coffee, two construction companies, ... and modernization of various local and acquisition of equipment.
Ibarra said "this call for aid is a new initiative to contribute to the revitalization of local business implanted Ramblilla neighborhoods of San Lazaro, Calvary, St. John, St. Mary, St. Peter and most of the neighborhood of San Christopher. To do this, the City established a call on a competitive basis for grant grant for economic regeneration and encouraging entrepreneurship in small and medium enterprises in these urban areas, for a total of up to 50,000 €. "
This project is co-financed by 20% by the City and 80% by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), in particular within the framework of the Urban Initiative under Priority 5 Local Sustainable Development and Urban ERDF Operational Programme for Murcia.
Beneficiaries may get a repayable assistance of up to 70% of approved eligible investments, with a maximum of € 10,000 in the case of start-ups and 3,000 € in modernization projects.
Finally, the council has congratulated the Regional Union of Traders of Lorca by the effort made to help many of these companies present their draft constitution or improvement, while it has announced that they expect to have the resolution of this call in the month of December so that projects can be implemented soon.
