The general director of the Physical Activity and Sport, Antonio Penalver, Director General of Sports Sports Council, Ana Munoz, mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and President of the Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation, Agustin Martin Santos today signed the Action Protocol for Commissioning Sports Modernization Center Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Lorca.
Penalver said infrastructure is a "great quality" that "a milestone in the sport of the town and the region," and said that this school, "Lorca will become a leader in the national scene for the automation of these sports. "
Sports Modernization Center Beach Volleyball Lorca, whose launch is scheduled for the first quarter of 2014, will feature 8,358 square meters dedicated to the sport.
In its first phase, which is nearly completed, the Center includes four outdoor beach volleyball courts (one with a grandstand), the first phase of the residence for athletes, gym, gardens and internal development.
