Councilmember NGOs Lorca, Antonia Lopez, has reported that the Local Government Council has approved Lorca donate 4,000 euros to the Red Cross to help typhoon victims in the Philippines.
Lopez said "This contribution demonstrates the solidarity of Lorca who need it most, because even here the situation is difficult, the situation there is much worse."
In this regard, he recalled that "everyone chipping in to help shoulder when Lorca suffered devastating earthquakes and that we all have our utmost with the victims of this natural disaster."
The mayor explained that "the donation was made through Red Cross because it is an entity that is in and helped Lorca Lorca, also present in the Philippines for over 15 years and after Typhoon has deployed to when 12 delegates in the area and has made shipments of relief goods that meet the needs of 3,000 families, as well as water and sanitation unit daily to provide safe water to 15,000 people.
