Councilman Sports City of Lorca, Augustine Llamas, President and Athletics Club Daen, Luís Miguel Torroglosa, presented this morning the first San Silvestre City of Lorca, which aims to close the wide and varied range of activities that the municipality has organized this year 2013 on the occasion of his appointment as European City of Sport.

The mayor explained that "the first San Silvestre Lorca's history is a race that seeks celebrated with a festive and fun tone that depart from Loch Street at 17:00 pm Dec. 31, a distance of 4 kilometers from the historic town of Lorca.

This sports event is organized by Cope Lorca, Lorca Daen Athletics Club and the Sports Council of Lorca, being totally free registrations, and can now be done through the web www.deportes.lorca.es until Saturday 28 December at 14:00 h.

In fact, today there are more than one hundred registered.

The first 250 to arrive at the finish line will receive a commemorative t-shirt, plus a gift surrendering first to reach the goal, prizes for the top three absolute and top three in each category as well as the oldest in the end and the most original costume .

Therefore the council has encouraged participants to "put her imagination and dress up, giving color to this activity."

There will also be drawings for gifts.

Llamas Augustine stressed that "with this new career enrich the sports calendar, the year goodbye playing sports, dynamise the historic center of Lorca, empower traditional commerce and, on completion, will provide all together for the coming year."
