Lorca Mayor decreed three days of official mourning for the death of the first Prime Minister of Spain in the current democratic period, Hon.
Mr. Adolfo Suárez González
The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar has expressed condolences to the Municipal Corporation and the residents of this city to the family of the former Prime Minister of Spain, HE Mr. Adolfo Suárez González, after the sad news of his Death.
For this reason we proceeded to the declaration of three days of official mourning from the time during which the institutional flags of the Town Hall will fly at half-mast.
This measurement is made at the loss of what has been one of the most important figures of the Spanish Transition and Democracy in our country, being the first President of the Government of the current democratic period, a post he held between 1977 and 1981, as a testimony of respect and sympathy.
