With the formation of 12 persons between 18 and 45, in addition to those that participated in 2012 in a school workshop promoted by the municipal area, is intended to ensure the continuity of this craft tradition, which has been declared a Cultural and path to be declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
Employment Councilwoman City of Lorca, Eulalia Ibarra has reported that the municipal area will launch next month a new training program for unemployed people aged 18 to 45, to learn the art of embroidery Lorca declared of Cultural and getting to be declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity by Unesco Interest.
Ibarra explained that "this project is included in the Urban Community Initiative Uptown Lorca cofinanced by the European FEDER funds and the City, and therefore their beneficiaries must be empadronaos in the performance of this program prior to of September 1, 2013 "
"With this new project, which aims to start on May 16, starts the second initiative that the Department of Employment has promoted in the past two years to promote this craft art as a career opportunity at the same time allow continuity with the importance especially in biblicopasionales parades and all our Easter "stressed the council.
This new training activity, part of the FORMAT program will last nine months, with a duration of 25 hours a week and Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 14:00.
The mayor pointed out that the students of the previous program can be proud because their embroidered skirts look on the throne of the patron of the city, San Clemente, plus because three of them are employed by the White Pass.
Participants in this course will receive a scholarship of 300 euros per month.
The council has explained that this same scholarship receive the rest of the students from earlier this year are forming in garment, 'restoration: gold and polychrome' and support service hair salon, and likewise will receive those involved from September in the training activities of making and mending garments textile in addition to plumbing-HVAC.
The amount of the 2014 draft format adds a total investment of 186,551.76 euros, of which 80% are financed by the European Regional Development Fund and 20% by the City of Lorca, being used for developing custom itineraries placement for unemployed people.
