The Plaza de Calderón hosts until next Saturday the seventh edition of the event which is consolidated in the city, and this year doubles the number of participating exhibitors.

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, inaugurated this morning the seventh edition of "Healthy Fair", an initiative to promote health and healthy lifestyles are brand spreading factors, both positive and negative influencing in everyday life.

The event, held from Thursday 24 to Saturday April 26 at the Plaza Calderon, is organized by the Department of Health.

In this edition focus 30 exhibitors from 19 last year, thus increasing by 50%.

In the same part of town as oenegés Spanish Cancer Association, Association of Parents of Early Intervention, Adilor, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer's Association, Asprodes, among others, as well as other groups and institutions such as Lorca Biciudad or the campus of Lorca, with companies that offer products beneficial to health.

The mayor stressed that the Fair offers the possibility of medical tests performed for free, such as checking blood pressure, blood glucose, weight, spirometry, anthropometry, BMI, blood type, visual checks and hearing.

To promote healthy eating broccoli will be distributed, in addition to healthy breakfasts for schoolchildren, workshops to promote the consumption of fruit and holding the first cooking healthy food festivals in collaboration with Hostelor, through which six restaurants offer menus healthy at popular prices.

In the Plaza de Calderón will be conducted as cardiobox sports, zumba, pilates and step Hand Gym Lorca.

On Thursday, between 17 and 21 hours, there will be the traditional blood donation at the entrance to the Theater War.

This seventh edition of Healthy Lorca Feria is a new firm commitment by the City of Lorca to improve the health of all Lorca and provide all possible information about common problems in health issues.
