This is a charity event that is organized by the City of Lorca and Diario La Verdad.
Its proceeds will go to the Bureau that serves the families most affected by the earthquakes.
The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, along with Director of Truth, Alberto Aguirre, this morning presented the fourth edition of the popular race "Run for Lorca," which will develop from Sunday May 11 to 10:30 am.
The mayor has encouraged all citizens to participate, noting in this regard that "we want hundreds and hundreds of people traveling on the streets of our city and do it for Lorca, for his recovery, living together for 6 miles they will not be competitive but of coexistence. Departure and arrival will be, as in the last two editions, the Avenida Juan Carlos I at the height of the Columns, 10.30.
This year's "Run x Lorca" will be held precisely on May 11, falling on a Sunday the third anniversary of the earthquake.
Organized by the City and The Truth, the event has established itself as a must test within the popular racing circuit while Lorca is poised to become a classic regional sport.
But, above all, is the finding that Lorca is raised through the efforts of its neighbors, that we do not accept, that we are not anchored at the May 11, 2011 but, just the opposite, move from firmly on the path of recovery which is building the future of this city.
Younger guests can also participate in the "Run x Lorca", since distances to be infant runners, 1,500 meters, and Latest fry, 700 m, and mats, 100 meters.
Following the completion of the big race for these tests will be made with smaller output from Columns towards the Oval.
There will be trophies for the top three in each category, except for the mats, since all runners in this category, under 5 will receive a medal.
But obviously, this is a test in which the important thing is to participate, enjoy sports in Lorca and Lorca.
"Run x Lorca" again be a test of solidarity.
The money raised by the inscriptions, 5 euros for veterans and cadets and 3 euros for Benjamin, juvenile and child, to the Bureau set up will be used by the City of Lorca.
The Bureau is responsible for collecting altruistic aid and distribute among the victims and to date has helped over 3,000 families affected by earthquakes and floods.
It is therefore important to continue to contribute to its goals and objectives as we do through the "Run x Lorca".
