The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, received this morning the mayor of the French town of Carnon Mauguio, Ivon Bourrel, and members of the choir 'Melgorave' from the same locality, in order to further strengthen the ties that bind these two municipalities, after twinning in the legislature from 1995 to 1999.

Jódar thanked this visit and commitment that both Mayor Maugio as its head of international relations, Christian Clavere, to further strengthen the ties between the two locations.
Meanwhile, Ivon Bourrel has welcomed "by the rapid recovery of the city after the earthquake, the result of joint work of Lorca and institutions."
