At 19:00 pm today the center of Lorca Local Development, located at number 30 of the Alameda de Cervantes, the Minister of Health of the Autonomous Community, Catalina Lorenzo, and the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, will open the Roundtable on "Importance of cholesterol and its appropriate treatment," organized by the Academy of Pharmacy of Santa Maria of Spain Murcia, in collaboration with the Regional Assembly and the Lorca City Hall in order to promote awareness of the Health Sciences in our region.
The discussion will be moderated by Dr. José María Abenza and will be attended as speakers Dr. Soledad Parra, Dr. Jacinto Fernández, Dr. Joaquín Jordán, Diego Pablo Sánchez, Dr. Pilar Zaragoza and Dr. D. Welcome Barelli.
In it, the sources of cholesterol and its functions in our body are analyzed, the importance of their control, the high risk to health represent about inadequate levels of the drug that we have for treatment, the importance of proper diet, the effects that the consumption of certain functional foods has on cholesterol levels and the role of homeopathic advice.
